At the February 2024 meeting of the Gesangverein Virginia, our own Jimmy Boehling regaled us with a recounting of his time as a navigator on a Boeing B-17 Heavy Bomber.
Jimmy was typical of the 8th Air Force Airmen in that he was just looking to do his part, and did what was asked as an expert navigator. His story is remarkable because it has unexpected ending.

On 26 MAY 2025 The Richmond Times-Dispatch Featured Jimmy in a story celebrating his 100th birthday.
